Our Mission
We are a small family farm looking to impact the health of our community by re-connecting people to real food. We strive to grow high-quality produce in a way that honors our obligations as stewards of our land and its resources. Through education and innovation, we hope to preserve the agricultural heritage of our community and inspire the next generation of farmers.
Our Family
We are a busy family of 8 (in need of an updated photo that includes the baby) who purchased our farm in 2012 with the idea of creating a simpler life for our kids. After several years of planning, we started a small farming operation that builds on our experiences in business, education, science and gardening. We opened our farm to the public in 2015 and look forward to many more years of serving our community.

Our Farm
Our 15 acre farm is located in North Fayette Township and serves communities in the West Suburbs of Pittsburgh. We grow over 75 varieties of vegetables and raise chickens as well. Our produce is available through our CSA program.
We also give educational programs on gardening, farm science, sustainable agriculture, and other related topics. These programs are designed to allow learners to use their new knowledge to make an impact in their own communities. The name of our farm pays tribute to local folk hero Mike Fink, who was known as the "king of the keelboaters". |
Our Impact
In 2015, we:
We look forward to continuing to build our community as we build our farm. |
